We're a specialist, independent scanning centre at Mount Vernon Hospital in Greater London providing MRI, CT and PET/CT scanning services to NHS and private patients.

In-depth knowledge, high quality scanning

Our expert team of radiologists and consultant radiologists specialise in high level scanning techniques not always provided in other centres and which serve our patients well in oncological and non-oncological imaging.

Our continuous scanner replacement programme means we can take advantage of the latest scanning techniques not always available on older scanners.

We offer a variety of scanning protocols, including whole-body MRI, low-dose and dual energy CT scanning, as well as a variety of tracers in PET-CT scanning.

Research active

Our clinical team is fully research active, ensuring we keep up to date with latest developments and help shape the future of imaging in the UK and beyond.

Quality and patient focus

"I've attended many times and always encountered friendly, informative staff and excellent service." Patient feedback

Unless requested otherwise, all our scans are reported by a consultant radiologist, or occasionally a senior specialist registrar.

We're a patient-focused, independent medical charity and our team of radiographers achieve excellent feedback from patients due to their kind, compassionate approach and outstanding service.

We're fully accredited with the prestigious Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme (ISAS) quality standard, which ensures patients consistently receive high quality services, delivered by competent staff working in safe environments.

Waiting times

  • Routine CT or MRI examinations are performed within three weeks of receipt of the request, with urgent examinations usually taking place the same day or within 24 hours.
  • PET-CT scans usually take place within one week.
  • Written reports provided within a maximum of two working days after the scan.

Films or CD copies of scans

Films or CD/DVD copies are freely available to all NHS sites. Private patients are entitled to a copy of images, and additional copies for the private sector are provided for a nominal charge. We also provide images and reports for medico-legal purposes, with consultants also offering second opinions on films or images on CDs/DVDs acquired elsewhere.
