
Dr Paul Strickland
Founder & Honorary Life President
A world renowned cancer specialist, Dr Strickland qualified in medicine at King’s College Hospital, London in 1943 and, in 1970, was appointed Director of the Radiotherapy Department at Mount Vernon Hospital which was subsequently renamed the Mount Vernon Cancer Treatment Centre.
As well as introducing new and more effective methods of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, Dr Strickland was an early and vociferous advocate of medical imaging and the importance of early diagnosis to save lives.

Dr Terence Wright
Chairman of the Board of Trustees
Dr Wright spent a career working in the worldwide Kodak company, both in R&D and business management. He became an executive director of Kodak Limited, non-executive director of Kodak Nederland BV, and Director of R&D in Europe for the Eastman Kodak Company. Since retirement Terry has been a director of Pixology plc and chairman at the start-up stage of Zogix Ltd. From 2005 to 2009 he was Chairman of the Court of Governors at the University of Westminster.

Patrick (Paddy) Kelly
Treasurer
Paddy joined Allied Irish Bank in 1966 finally managing the Watford Branch until retirement.
The role of Treasurer is vital in providing financial control and budgeting for the future expansion of the Centre. Paddy Kelly brings sound practical experience to contribute to our current and future success.

Cathy Williams
General Manager
A Therapeutic Radiographer who worked at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre for most of her career. A special interest in Radiotherapy research and development has meant taking on a wide variety of roles.

Dr Oliver Bangham
Deputy Chairman
Dr Bangham spent his career with Eastman Kodak,. He started in the Research division, pioneering new material surface analysis techniques in the UK and USA and then became an internal Management Consultant, working particulary with customers, marketing and the R&D community in the development of new products

Professor Michele Saunders
Windeyer Professor of Oncology at University College and Mount Vernon, was a consultant in oncology research at Mount Vernon when Paul Strickland Scanner Centre opened. She has remained working closely with the Centre and became a Member of the Board in 2000.
Dr Roberto Alonzi
Dr Roberto Alonzi is a Medical Research Council Clinician Scientist with appointments as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre with a special interest in Urological Malignancy and as a Senior Lecturer at University College London. His research interests include the development of biologically targeted precision radiotherapy, tumour oxygenation, radiobiology and the use of radiosensitisers in prostate cancer. His research is currently funded by the Medical Research Council, the Prostate Cancer Charity and the Royal College of Radiologists.

Mr. Bharat Shah
Bharat is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Audit Commission, Chairman of Nijjar Holdings Limited, Chairman of the West Bromwich Building Society Staff Retirement Scheme, Non-Executive Director of the Places for People Group and has been providing Business Consultancy and Executive Mentoring since 2002.

Mr Michael Vine
