How to refer for an MRI scan

We are able to perform all routine exams

We also have the capability to perform specialised and complex exams with our top of the range 1.5T and 3T Siemens scanners. The utility of these scanners allows us to produce high resolution images rapidly.

Some techniques we perform routinely include Spectroscopy, Angiography, moving table examinations, diffusion, and perfusion, dynamic contrast MRI (DCE), whole body with DWI scans and Cardiac MRI. We also participate in a multitude of research programs.

HPC registered Radiographers will undertake the examination and a report from a Consultant Radiologist will be issued and returned directly to you.

To refer to the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre for MRI scanning please

  • Download the Request Form
  • Fill out the request form and have the patient fill in the safety questionnaire on the reverse.
A Patient Information Leaflet can also be downloaded.
  • You can post or fax (01923 844600) this to the Centre where the examination will have a protocol attached to it.
  • The patient will be contacted directly to arrange their appointment and will be told about their scan.

We welcome referrals for all self funding or private patients.
We are a Bupa approved centre (Provider No: 60009055).

NHS patients can only be referred from certain areas - you are welcome to contact us to see if you are in our catchment.
